Elevate your journey with Columbia College ConnectUP!, generously funded by the DEWEY Awards grant and specifically crafted to empower new students from regions facing teacher shortages in Missouri.

If you're a Missouri resident pursuing teacher certification at Columbia College, you could qualify for essential tools for success, such as a free laptop and financial assistance for internet service, as a gift to amplify your impact in the Columbia College Education program. Through a simple application process, we aim to welcome around 25 students, each contributing to the fulfillment of high-demand teaching needs in targeted areas. Your potential is our priority, and together, we're shaping a brighter future in education.

Alongside the application provided below, students are required to submit their FAFSA at FAFSA.gov. The review of these applications will occur continuously as students are accepted into the institution, and award notifications will be communicated via email. Distribution of award funds or materials will take place after students have completed their course selection and registration.


Please note, if you are selected as a recipient of this award your name will be shared with the Department of Elementary & Secondary Education (DESE). If you would like to forgo this grant and avoid your name being shared with DESE, you will need to contact the DEWEY Grant Team at admissions@ccis.edu
